He fought with his parents some as a teen, but for the most part they didn’t really have a personal connection deep enough to their own son to get truly hurt by his rebellion– it was mostly just indignation. Some people tried to get close cause he was handsome and rich, but it was all surface level interest, they didn’t actually care about HIM, mostly cause they didn’t even know him. Throughout his life he’s kept everyone at a distance. He was their son and that had prestige and he was expected to act with a level of manners and decorum around all his parents posh associates but he also never really was taught social skills, so he mostly just kept quietĪnd when people did talk to him, like starting with other kids when he was really young, they were quick to say he was boring or weird or whatever so he put up a defensive wall p quick that never like– really came down.
